Tuesday, February 15, 2011 — Irene Hall Lambert, 87, of Albemarle, N.C., passed away Sunday, February 13, 2011, at Bethany Woods, Albemarle.

Mrs. Lambert was born June 26, 1923, in Rowan County. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Clayton Lambert; father, John Frank Hall; mother, Mamie Hutchins Lambert; son, Steven Douglas Lambert; daughter, Doletta Turner; great-grandson, Zachary Almond; three brothers and two sisters.  She was a member of New Life Baptist Church of Albemarle and enjoyed quilting.

Visitation will be 9:30-11 a.m., Wednesday, February 16, at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle and will be followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, Albemarle. Rev. Chris Jackson will officiate and burial will follow in the Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Survivors include sons, James Clayton Lambert and Hurley Vance Lambert of Albemarle; daughter, Joyce Talbert, of Albemarle; sisters, Sara Bassinger of Rockwell, and Bessie Cress of Winston-Salem; 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle, is serving the Lambert family.
