Reba Frick Livingston
Reba Frick Livingston, 84, much loved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, May 20, 2017, from Parkinson's disease. She was the daughter of the late Luther and Annie Hathcock Frick.
Reba was born in Albemarle, NC and graduated from Albemarle High School in 1950. While in high school she met the love of her life, Ralph Livingston, and they were married in 1951. After they moved to Newport News, Virginia in 1952, Reba worked at a couple of different places but mainly Coates and Clark for many years. They were members of Central Baptist Church in Hampton from the 1950's until 1977 when they joined Denbigh Baptist Church in Newport News. She loved her church family and having them over for visits. Reba loved flowers of all kinds, making crafts, and especially watching raccoons and stray cats that would come up on the deck to eat food she had left for them.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Ralph; son, Gary (Debby), daughter, Starla (Don) Airhart; grandchildren, Brett Livingston, Heather (Jon) Anderson, Ashley Livingston, and Stacy Airhart; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Benjamin, and Maisie Anderson. She was preceded in death by her 4 brothers and 5 sisters.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 23, 2017, from 7 to 8 p.m. at W. J. Smith & Son Funeral Home. Newport News, VA. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to Denbigh Baptist Church or the Peninsula Rescue Mission.
