CLEVELAND - Gladys Christy Heath, 80, of Cottonwood Road, Cleveland, died Friday Feb. 23, 2007 at Iredell Memorial Hospital.
She was born Feb. 2, 1927 in Amity Hill. She was the daughter of the late Junius Anderson and Edna Lambert Christy and the wife of the late Joseph Earl Heath. She lived in Williamston, for 25 years, where she and her husband were the owners and operators of Heath Jewelers until their retirement in 1993. In 1998 she returned to the Amity Hill area where she became a member of Back Creek Presbyterian Church in Mt. Ulla.
She is survived by her sons, Mike Heath of Cary and Terry Heath and wife, Mary Jane of Charlotte; sisters, Vivian Cook and Margaret Cook, both of Amity Hill and Maxine McBee of Spartanburg, SC and grandchildren, Kara V. Heath of Chapel Hill, Joseph R. Heath of Norfolk, Va., Nicholas Heath and wife, Leslie of Apex, Sarah Heath and Ryan Heath, both of Charlotte.
Funeral Services: 11 a.m., Monday at Back Creek Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Bill Thrailkill officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday at Woodlawn Cemetery in Williamston.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. at the church prior to the service.
Memorials: May be made to Back Creek Presbyterian Church.
The family of Mrs. Heath is being served by Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.
