SALISBURY - Hilton Ketchie, 84, of Salisbury, died Thursday, Aug. 17, 2006, at Rowan Regional Medical Center.
Born Feb. 10, 1922, in Rowan County, Mr. Ketchie was a son of the late Sally Jackson Ketchie and Walter Ketchie. Educated in Rowan County Schools, he was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during World War II.
A retired produce manager for A&P stores, he was a member of Milford Hills United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Myers Ketchie; sons Chad (Rhonda) Ketchie and H. Mike Ketchie, all of Salisbury; daughters Sherry Lambert of Salisbury and Tonya (Mark) Wilhelm of Cleveland; grandchildren Ashley Wilhelm, Brett Wilhelm, Chasy Meres and Tam Ketchie; and great-grandchild Michael Meres.
Service: 11 a.m. Saturday at Lyerly Funeral Home's James C. Lyerly Chapel with the Rev. David Hockett officiating. Burial will be at Rowan Memorial Park.
Visitation: 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials: American Diabetes Association.

SALISBURY - Hilton Ketchie, 84, of Salisbury, died Thursday, Aug. 17, 2006, at Rowan Regional Medical Center.
