Gentalee Allmon
Gentalee Allmon, 89, of Concord stepped into heaven Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Five Oaks Nursing Center.
Funeral services will be held 2pm Saturday, July 24 at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant officiated by Pastor Allen Montgomery. Burial will follow in the Running Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The Allmon Family will receive friends from 1-2 at the funeral home prior to the service.
Mrs. Allmon was born in Rowan County, September 26, 1931 to the late Ernest Wilson and Lula Burris Wilson. She was a member of New Grace Baptist Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She also loved to travel and always had a happy personality. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Pless Allmon, a Brother Jerry Wilson, Sr., and a daughter Kathy Simpson.
She is survived by a son Timothy Allmon; brother William Wilson; sister Ginger Cocherell; five grandchildren Jessica Anderson (Mikey), Blake Simpson (Brittanie), Brad Voncannon (Renee), Dustin Allmon (Amber), and Crystal Black (John), and 14 great grandchildren McKenzie, Kain, Lincoln, Silas, and Sloan, Lawson, London, Cole, Easton, Emma, Isabella, Autumn, Beau, and Olivia.
Memorials in Mrs. Allmon’s memory may be made to New Grace Baptist Church, Concord NC.
