Mildred F. Bennett
Anderson, SC - Mildred Frick Bennett, 90, widow of Gurney Bennett, passed away Friday, September 16, 2016.
Born in Montgomery County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Roy Lee and Gathy Foreman Frick. She was retired from Clark Schwebel and was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Anderson.
Survivors include her son, G. Mitchell Bennett and wife, Wilma, of Anderson; four grandchildren, Angela Horne (Butch) of Rockingham, NC, G. Mitch Bennett, Jr. (Amy) of Hartwell, Ga., Lisa Bennett and Jodi Smith (Jason), all of Anderson; eleven great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and two sisters, Geraldine Evans and Margie Harvey.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Tommy Bennett; sisters, Opal Blake, Hazel Starnes, and Ruby Hall; and brothers, Joe, Edgar, Renus, and Robert Frick.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, September 17, at Bible Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Ken Whitt. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, September 18, at Richmond County Memorial Park in Rockingham, NC.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Internal Medicine Associates of Anderson, Shannon Seigler, Janet Fant, and the rest of the staff of Hospice of the Upstate for their kindness and loving care.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC.
