Warner Robins, Georgia - Ronald Wayne Wimsett, 74, entered into rest on Monday, July 9, 2012.

Ron was born on June 13, 1938 in Joplin, Missouri to the late Lloyd and Gladys Kirk Wimsett. A resident of Warner Robins since 1969, he was a faithful member of Harvest Church. Ron retired from Robins Air Force Base where he worked for thirty four years as an Industrial Engineer. He was also Deputy Director of Avionics and served as Branch Chief. He received his Engineering degree from Kansas State University. Subsequent to his civil service retirement, he worked as a Consultant for several different companies from 2001 until 2012. Ron was also a certified Master Gardener and Landscaper. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid golfer at Houston Lake Country Club. He will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

His memory will forever be treasured by his beloved wife of eighteen years, Susan Brady Wimsett, Warner Robins, Georgia; sons, Kirk Wimsett (Kim), Huntsville, Alabama; Keith Wimsett (Marlena), Marshall, North Carolina; stepdaughters, Shannon Roberts Crosby (Seaborn), Macon, Georgia; Kelly Roberts Rickard (Jeff), Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; Jenny Roberts Bernard (Joseph), Savannah, Georgia; stepson, Reuben "Trey" Roberts, III, Warner Robins, Georgia; grandchildren, Jason, Ayla, expecting Isabella, Christian, Connor, Ruby, Cole, and Vivian.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, July 23, 2012 at Harvest Church with Pastor Jim Cowart officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Harvest Church. Interment will be private.

Memorials may be given to Harvest Church, Byron, Georgia.

McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has charge of arrangements.
