Joan Morgan Cline
Joan Morgan Cline, 84, of Gold Hill, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2021.
She was born February 2, 1936, in Rowan County, NC to the late Fred and Cora Varnadore Morgan. Mrs. Cline was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School. She was employed at Bendix in Salisbury and later at ThorLo. Mrs. Cline enjoyed crocheting and sewing, was an avid gardener, and helped deliver meals on wheels. She dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom she was instrumental in helping raise.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Lee Cline and her granddaughter, Codie Cline.
Mrs. Cline is survived by her son, Rodney Dean Cline of Gold Hill; grandson, Matt Garriet Cline and wife, Megan, of Salisbury; and four great-grandchildren, Devin Brent Cline, Caylea Brynn Cline, Avery Nicole Cline, and Kane Leazer.
Arrangements are pending with a memorial service to be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
