Sylvia Jane Mauldin Faulkner
Sylvia Jane Mauldin Faulkner, 81 of Albemarle NC, passed away Saturday December 26, 2020 at Trinity Place. Her funeral service will be held Saturday January 2, 2021 at 1:00PM in the West Albemarle Baptist Church Family Life Center conducted by Rev Adam Hatley with inurnment following at the Poplins Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation held.
Sylvia was born April 26, 1939 in Stanly County, NC daughter of the late James Edward Mauldin and Ollie Eudy Mauldin. She was a retired nurse having worked at the former Stanly County Hospital, Dr. Claude Ballenger’s Medical office, and retired from the Albemarle Women’s Clinic.
Sylvia was a member of West Albemarle Baptist Church since 1945, where she served as a Sunday school teacher, leader of the Sunbeams, GA’s, and Acteens leader and member of the WMU.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband Jack Harley Faulkner, a son Chad Faulkner, brothers Jerry Mauldin and Gary Mauldin.
She was survived by her children, daughter Rhonda Faulkner Perkins of Johnson City TN, sons John Faulkner of Albemarle NC and Doug Faulkner and wife Adina of Fleetwood NC. Two brothers Bill Mauldin and wife Linda of Blowing Rock NC and Don Mauldin and wife Judy of Winston Salem, and a sister Libby Rummage of Norwood NC. Grandchildren Anna Perkins, Seth Faulkner, Logan Faulkner, Morgan Miller, Kyle Faulkner, and Cole Faulkner. Great Grandchildren Layla Perkins Boggs, Brody Faulkner, Elaina Anthony, Riley Anthony, Jackson Miller and Harper Miller.
Memorials maybe made to West Albemarle Baptist Church, or to The American Cancer Society.
