Mary Frances Trexler

Mary Frances Bostian Trexler "Teetle" 91, of Salisbury passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at the Glenn A, Kiser Hospice House. Teetle was born on August 13, 1924 in Rowan County, a daughter of the late Columbus Sloan and Maude Bowles Bostian.

Teetle was a graduate of Rockwell High School. She was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church, and a member of the Good News Sunday School Class when she was able. Teetle loved spending time with her family, neighbors and friends, tending her flowers and enjoying nature.

In addition to her parents, Teetle is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas S. Trexler; brothers, Clarence and Ray "Bud" Bostian; and a sister, Margaret Brown.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Sylvia Ingram and husband Bill of Salisbury and Marlene Sweatt and husband Robert of Gold Hill. Sister, Kate Lingle of Granite Quarry; brother, Bill Bostian of Richfield; a special niece, Camille Abernathy of Granite Quarry. Teetle was also blessed with 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren that she enjoyed and loved dearly.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Monday, October 26, 2015 at 4:00 pm at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church conducted by Rev. Gary Coble, Pastor.

The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff at both Novant Health Rowan Medical Center and the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House for their compassionate and loving care. They would also like to express their gratitude to Pastors Gary and Bill from St. Matthews Lutheran Church and Pastor Charlie at Liberty United Methodist Church, and the many neighbors and friends for their faithful visits and prayers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Teetle may be made to Rowan Helping Ministries, or to the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House.
