Harvey Eugene Morgan, Jr

He was a native of Salisbury, NC, son of the late Harvey E. and Bertie M. Morgan.

He graduated from Spencer High School and served as a flight engineer in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He received a BS degree from Clemson, taught in the Greensboro public schools for several years, then earned a MS from Clemson and a Doctorate in Education at NC State.

A Professor Emeritus, he taught at Clemson for 35 years where he was a member and advisor to Iota Lambda Sigma, the honorary fraternity of Industrial Education. He was a member of the International Technology Education Association and served as the South Carolina state representative to this association. He was also a member of the National Council of Technology Teacher Educators and Epsilon Pi Tau. He served as a consultant to public schools in North Carolina and South Carolina. For many years he was the chairman of the Troop Committee of Boy Scout Troop 161.

He was known as a master craftsman in woodworking made the gavels and blocks for the chairmen of Clemson University's Board of Trustees. He also made the cross in the sanctuary of Clemson United Methodist Church where he was a long-time member.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Anna Walser Morgan.
