Notes for Shirley McLaughlin
Shirley McLaughlin Lambert

Mrs. Shirley McLaughlin Lambert, 82 of Landis, passed away on Friday, December 11, 2020 at Morningside of Concord. Shirley was born on April 17, 1938 in Rowan County and was the daughter of the late Marvin McLaughlin and Edith Ross McLaughlin. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded by her infant son. She was a 1957 graduate of Landis High School and was a member of Rodgers Park Reformed Church where she was active in many church functions.

Shirley worked several years for Belk Department Store in Kannapolis; but more importantly, she was a homemaker whose pleasure was caring for her family and receiving great joy from caring and doing for others. She also enjoyed growing flowers. Her greatest joy was her family and they meant everything to her, they were her heart and soul.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 62 years, Gene Lambert. Also surviving her are her son, Timothy Lambert (Janice) and daughter, Samantha Lambert (Billy) along with her granddaughters, Jamie Honeycutt (John) and Kalie Felts (Bryan).

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Rodgers Park Reformed Church in Kannapolis with Dr. Donald McManus, officiating. A private burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Due to COVID concerns, masks are required for all that attend.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested you kindly remember Shirley with memorials in her honor to the American Alzheimer’s Association, or Hospice of Cabarrus County.

The family would like to thank the entire staff of both Morningside and Hospice of Cabarrus for the exceptional care extended to their loved one.

Advantage Funeral and Cremation-Landis is honored to be serving the family of Mrs. Lambert.
