Tim Loflin Sr.

Tim Loflin, Sr was welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven on Wednesday October 11, 2023. He was greeted by his parents, Roy Lee & Virginia Miller Loflin, his wife Gisela Clark Loflin whom he married on January 10, 1960 and his infant great grandson, Thaddeus Neil Threatte.

Those left to cherish his memories are his children, Tim Loflin II (Renee), Debbie Loflin-Benge (Mark) and Ron Loflin (Kelly) grandchildren, Meagan Threatte (Joey), Matt Corl (Ashley), Murphy Corl, Chris Loflin (Becka), Alex Loflin, Allie Loflin, Erin Loflin, Shelby Benge and Mason Benge. great grandchildren, Emery, Evy, Elinor, Sutton Corl, Thatcher Threatte and Willow Loflin.

Tim was born on February 8, 1938 and was a lifelong resident of the Trading Ford community. He was educated at Dukeville school and Spencer High school. Tim was a caring family man, a great friend to all who knew him and loved the Lord. Tim was known for his quick wit, jokes and had a smile for everyone. Tim worked the majority of his life in car sales working with Aaron, Byerly and Team Chevrolet over 30 years before retiring from Novant Health.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 15, 2023 from 1:30-3pm at Summersett Funeral Home. Memorial Service will be Sunday at 3pm in the Summersett Memorial Chapel with burial immediately following at Bethel United Methodist Church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Meals on Wheels of Rowan County or to the charity of your choice.
