Patricia “Patsy” Anne Lambert Allen

Patricia “Patsy” Anne Lambert Allen, 75, went to live with our Heavenly Father Tuesday, January 13, 2015.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, January 16, 2015, at Central United Methodist Church, 30 Union Street North, Concord, NC. Rev. Susannah Pittman will officiate.

The family will receive friends following the service at the church in the Coltrane room.

Patsy was born on May 27, 1939 in Landis, NC, to the late Cramer D. Lambert and Foy Greene Lambert. She graduated from Concord High School in 1957 and attended Evans Business School in Concord. Patsy married Kirby C. Allen, Sr. in 1958. She worked for Shuford Insurance Agency while in high school until she retired in 2000.

Patsy was an active member of Central United Methodist Church, Concord. She participated in the Estaline Clark Circle, served as treasurer for the Ellen Pemberton Sunday School Class and was a member of the Hand Bell Choir. She joined the Concord Business and Professional Women on May 1, 1969 and became a valued member serving as President from 1992-1993. She was an active member of the ECA for 37 years serving as treasurer and putting in 1,980 volunteer hours. She was also a member of the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary. Patsy was a twenty-five year breast cancer survivor. She loved her family, playing cards, reading and butterflies. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Patsy had a very special relationship with her sister, Jean and was a respected member of the community. She was loved by many!

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna A. Holloway in 2014.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Kirby “Casey” C. Allen, Jr. and wife, Judy, of Concord and Jayson A. Allen of Rockwell; eight grandchildren, Jennifer A. Walker and husband, Jason, of Mt. Pleasant, Meredith Allen of Concord, Darren A. Holloway of Landis, Tracy B. Love and husband, Chris, and Aaron Boger of Rockwell; Dawn Moore of Mooresville, Michael Moore of Virginia, and Matthew Allen; eight great grandchildren, Silas and Sloan, Emma Pearl Layton, Aubrey and Luke Love, Traton and Kylie Boger of Rockwell and Shayla Moore; sister, Jean L. Harwood-Stanhope and husband, Harry, of Concord; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Central United Methodist Church, 30 Union Street, North, Concord, or a charity of one’s choice.
