Garnett Miller Ford
CONCORD Mrs. Garnett Miller Ford of North Union Street passed away peacefully at her home, Wednesday, July 22, 2015. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date, honoring her wishes.
Garnett was born Sept. 9, 1927, in Danville, Va., to the late Otha G. Miller and Nellie Earnhardt Miller. She was also preceded in death by husband, Thurmond "Punch" Ford, and son, Mitchell Ford.
Garnett was a homemaker.
Garnett is survived by son, David Ford and wife, Jamie; grandsons, Matthew Ford and Gray Ford; granddaughter, Caroline Criscoe and husband, Daniel; great-grandchildren, Lawson Mitchell and Kate Madison, all of Concord; as well as a sister, Eleanor Williams of California; brother-in-law, Bill Ford of Concord; and nephew, Marty Ford, as well as eight other nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, TN.
