Debra Thomas Wyatt

Mrs. Debra Thomas Wyatt, 62, passed away at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home on Nov. 23, 2016. Debra was born on Nov. 2, 1954 to James Franklin Thomas and Corene Ellis Thomas in Forsyth County. She graduated from Parkland High School and went on to work for Wachovia Bank and Trust where she retired with 30 years of faithful service. She stayed active, coordinating events for retirees. Debra was devoted to the church, and attended Pinedale and First Christian Churches. She will be remembered as a warm-hearted lady who loved humming birds and gardening. Most of all, Debra loved her family.

Debra was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, Ray Alton Wyatt; stepsons, David Blaine Wyatt and Eric Michael Wyatt, both of Waynesville; sister, Stephanie Thomas Speer (Donald) of Mocksville; and a loving niece, Katie Speer Smith (Justin) of Fayetteville.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon, Sat., Nov. 26, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Bob McCaskill officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. A graveside committal service will be held at 3:00 PM, Sat., at Chestnut Hill Cemetery in Salisbury.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.
