FAYETTEVILLE - John J. Ludwig, 88, of Fayetteville, passed away Sunday, Nov. 23, 2008.
An Army veteran of World War II, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
John was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Rena M. Ludwig and a grandson, William Hawkins.
Survivors include his daughter, Judy Galik of Fayetteville; two sons, Jim Ludwig and wife Ann of Seattle, Wash., and Frank Ludwig and wife Jean of Fayetteville; eight grandchildren, Deborah Nichols, Jeff Hawkins, William Ludwig, Robert Ludwig, Billy Ludwig, Egan Ludwig, Jeramy Ludwig, and Heather Ludwig;; 12 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 27, 2008 at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home, Fayetteville.
Service: 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 28, 2008 in the Jernigan-Warren Chapel with Dr. Alton Howard officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street.
Memorials: Memorials may be made to the the Disabled Veterans of North Carolina.
