Ann Goodman Robinson
Ann Goodman Robinson, 89, of Cramerton, NC, died Friday, December 18, 2015 at Carillion Assisted Living of Cramer Mountain.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, December 28, 2015 at Central United Methodist Church in Albemarle officiated by Rev. Jim Yow and Rev. Harold McDonald. Burial will follow at Stanly Gardens of Memory. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00pm on Sunday, December 27, 2015 at Stanly Funeral Home of Albemarle.
Ann was born April 17, 1926 in Richfield, NC, to the late Quincey and Nora Goodman. She graduated from Catawba College where she met the love of her life Richard Robinson. Mrs. Robinson was a member at Central United Methodist Church where she served in many groups within the church. She volunteered for 20 plus years at Stanly Memorial Hospital, was very involved with Hospice of Stanly County, and enjoyed teaching English to 7th and 8th graders. Ann was a fantastic cook and loved spending time with her family, friends, and all those she cared about.
She is preceded in death by her husband Richard (Dick) Robinson; a brother Spencer Goodman, and a sister Melvene Koontz.
Mrs. Robinson is survived by her son Rick Robinson and wife Mary of Thomasville, NC; daughters Sherry Todd and husband John of DeLand, FL, and Kris Pierce and husband John of Gastonia, NC; grandchildren Shannon Snuggs, Travis White, Brady Deal, Chad Deal, Kristen McClure, Christian Petersen, and Chad Petersen; great-grandchildren Mack White, Ethan McClure, Anna Deal, Keira Deal, Raleigh Deal, Braeden Petersen, and Cora Petersen; brother Bud Goodman of Richfield, NC; and sisters Carrie Mae Wood of Salisbury, NC and Alva Sells of Gold Hill, NC.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly and the Uwharrie at 960 N 1st St, Albemarle, NC 28001, or to Gaston Hospice at P. O. Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054.
