Mary “Sue” Taylor Eagle

Mary “Sue” Taylor Eagle, age 77, passed away June 5, 2018 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.

She was born March 5, 1941 to the late Allie Goodman Taylor and Adam O’Neal Taylor.

Mrs. Eagle was a 1959 graduate of North Rowan High School. She worked for the Rowan-Salisbury School System at North Rowan Middle School in School Food Service for 27 years before retiring in 2003. She was a member of Union Lutheran Church for over 40 years. Mrs. Eagle enjoyed traveling, camping, and reading.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Glenn F. Eagle; three sons, Jeffrey G. Eagle and wife Karen of Salisbury, K. Duane Eagle and wife Sabrina of Salisbury, and Timothy O. Eagle of Salisbury; seven grandchildren, Brandon Parker, Justin Parker, Lindsay Eagle, Joshua Eagle, Danielle Eagle, Jordan Eagle, and Mallory Eagle; five great-grandchildren, Madison Parker, Emma Parker, Kristian Parker, Katelyn Parker, and Emerson Eagle. She is also survived by two sisters, Phoebe Nunn and husband Marvin, Kay Edmiston and husband Dan; two brothers, Jerry Taylor and Mike Taylor; two nieces, Tara Davis and husband Don, Karen Cornett and husband Nick; one nephew, Jack Edmiston; two great-nieces and two great-nephews.

Visitation: 1:00 PM Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the Union Lutheran Church Dutch Meeting Hall.

Service: 2:00 PM Saturday at Union Lutheran Church with the Rev. Tom Corbell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Union Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund.
