Bobby Graham
Bobby Eagle Graham, 88, passed away on July 20, 2023. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday July 30, 2023, at Muir's Chapel United Methodist Church in Greensboro, NC. A visitation with the family will follow the service in the Fellowship Hall.
Bobby was born on April 19, 1935, in Salisbury, NC. He graduated from Borden High School in 1953. After high school, he served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and then earned his associate degree from Gaston Tech in 1961. After 33 years of service with Bell Laboratories, Western Electric, and AT&T, Bobby retired. He was a dedicated member of Muir's Chapel UMC for 53 years and was very active in the building team. He also served on numerous mission trips with the Western North Carolina Conference where he travelled to assist needs in both Puerto Rico and Alaska. He worked tirelessly to update the church's cemetery records and loved helping with the Methodist Men's Annual Brunswick Stew Fundraisers. His absolute joy in life was spending time with family and friends and making them laugh.
Bobby is predeceased by his parents Eubert Graham and Mattie Eagle Graham, and his brothers Ronald Graham and Theron “Ted” Graham.
Surviving his family is his loving wife of 63 years, Christine Graham, daughters Janet (Billie) Weedon of Newburg, MD, and Karen (John) Harrill of Greensboro, NC, grandchildren Amy (Andrew) Clark of Charlotte, NC, Cory and Colin McAlister of Fredericksburg, VA, Sarah Harrill of Raleigh, NC, great-granddaughter Quincy Clark of Charlotte, NC, brother Hugh (Brenda) Graham of Salisbury, NC, Sister-In-Law Mary Graham of Linville Falls, NC and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Muir's Chapel UMC located at 314 Muirs Chapel Road, Greensboro, NC.
