Judith "Judy" Gilbert
Judith "Judy" Gilbert, 64, of Salisbury, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at her residence in Salisbury, NC.
She was born October 28, 1956 in Sumter, SC to the late Billy Canup and Thelma Bryan Leviner. Judy loved spending time with her family and will be missed by all who loved her.
In addition to her parents, Judith was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Canup and son-in-law, Chris Myers.
Judith is survived by her husband Roger Gilbert; daughter, Teresa Myers of Rockwell, NC; son, Jeremy (fiancée, Melanie Myers) Gilbert of Salisbury, NC; brother, Gene (Chris) Canup of Granite Quarry, NC; and grandchildren, Thomas, Madison, and Caleb Myers, and Oliver Gilbert.
The family will greet friends and relatives on Monday, December 14, 2020, 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm at Powles Staton Funeral Home, Rockwell, NC.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, December 14, 2020, in the Powles Staton Funeral Home, Rockwell, NC, with Rev. Darrell Bunce, officiating. Due to the most recent mandate from Governor Cooper, we ask that you please wear a mask and respect social distancing if you plan to attend.
Burial will take place in the Rowan Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to National Kidney Foundation, National Kidney Foundation.
