Glenn Allen Smith, 89, of Oakboro passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021 at his home. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
Born September 28, 1931 in Stanly County, NC, he was the son of the late Sandy Smith and Lula Allen Smith. He was a veteran of the US Navy and a member of Philapelphia Baptist Church. He retired from maintenance department with the Stanly County School system.
Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his wife Frances Hahn Smith and a daughter, Jan Smith. He is survived by a daughter Myra Hatley (Don) of Locust, six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Philadelphia Baptist Church, PO Box 280, Stanfield, NC.
