Lucille Hartman Rinehardt

SALISBURY - Lucille Hartman Rinehardt, 87, of Salisbury, formerly of Rockwell, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at the Lutheran Home at Trinity Oaks, Salisbury.

Mrs. Rinehardt was born Sept. 14, 1919, in Rowan County, a daughter of the late John Lewis Hartman and Anna Lee Heglar Hartman. She was educated in Rowan County schools and was a 1937 graduate of Granite Quarry High School. A member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and WELCA, she served as financial secretary, taught Sunday School, served as president of PTA at Rockwell High School and treasurer of PTA at East Rowan High School.

She was a member of the Rockwell Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 317, serving as Worthy Matron and in other stations.

Lucille had been employed by Life & Casualty Insurance Company before retiring from there.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother John R. Hartman; first husband Floyd A. Beaver, who died during World War II; and second husband Glenn Y. Rinehardt, who died Dec. 22, 1995.

Survivors include daughters Sandra B. Mills and husband R.L. of Salisbury, Barbara B. Young and husband Bob of Cameron, S.C.; stepdaughter Frances Blackwood of Greensboro; stepson Michael Rinehardt and wife Carol of High Point; brother C.L. Hartman of Greensboro; sister Edna Elium of Salisbury, Mary Miller and husband Harry of Rockwell; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; and 12 step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church conducted by the Rev. Bruce Sheeks, pastor. Burial will follow in the church cemetery

Visitation: Visitation will follow the burial and will be held in the church sanctuary.

Memorials: Memorials to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Rockwell, NC; or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, TN.
