STANFIELD - Eunnie Martha Lambert, 91, of 6200 Roberta Road, Harrisburg, formerly of Stanfield and Ridgecrest Community, died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008, at Transitional Health Services. The family will receive friends 2:30 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, 2008, at Running Creek Primitive Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. with Elder Richard Almond officiating. Burial will be at Running Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Locust. Pallbearers will be her nephews and grandsons.
Mrs. Lambert was born April 23, 1917, in Stanly County the daughter of the late John Duke Lambert and the late Rosa Hatley Lambert. She retired from Kayser Roth Hosiery, Concord, as a Transfer Tech. She was a member of Running Creek Primitive Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Eli Lambert who died in 1973; a son, Johnny Lambert; grandson, Jeffrey Lambert; brothers, Jasper Lambert, Barry Lambert and Fred Lambert; and sisters, Froza Tucker, Gatha Almond, and Gertrude Greene.
Survivors include her son, Jimmy Lambert and wife, Betty, of Concord; daughter-in-law, Dolly Lambert of Prosperity, S.C.; grandchildren, Christy Slater and husband, Les, of Rock Hill, S.C., Jody Lambert and wife, Kerrie, and Lisa Morris and husband, Tim, all of Harrisburg; great-grandchildren, Tyler Morris, Ryan Morris, Gryffin Slater and Ethan Lambert; and sister, Zula Eudy of Locust.
The family will meet at the home of son, Jimmy Lambert and wife, Betty, 799 Rubens Road, Concord.
