Janet Shaver Halstead, 56, of McBee, SC, formerly of Concord, NC, passed away Friday, January 20, 2023.
Janet was born on August 29, 1966, in Charlotte, NC, to the late Willie Van Shaver and Shirley Mundy Shaver.
Janet graduated from Concord High. For the last 8 years, Janet was the caregiver for her mother, Shirley. She was happiest spending time with family at White Lake and the beach. Janet also enjoyed cruises with her family. She was a member of McBee Baptist Church. Janet will be remembered for her smile. She'd never part without saying "I love you." Most of all, Janet was a loving wife, mom, Nana, daughter, and sister.
Survivors include her beloved husband and best friend of 24 years, Lewis W. Halstead of McBee, SC; son, Randy (Emily) Halstead of OH; son, Ryan Halstead of Pageland, SC; mother, Shirley Mundy Shaver; sister, Debbie Burris of Concord, NC; granddaughter, Eden Halstead; niece, Tisha Plesz; nephew, Christopher Burris; dog, Precious; and other extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:45 pm on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm in the funeral home chapel, officiated by Pastor Rick Clark. Janet will be laid to rest at Salisbury National Cemetery on Monday, January 30, 2023, at 9:00 am.
Memorial donations may be made to McBee Baptist Church, PO Box 416, McBee, SC.
