SALISBURY - Steven Jay Bradshaw, 64, peacefully passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2015, at his home in Gastonia.
Jay was born Feb. 26, 1951, in Salisbury, a son of the late George Bradshaw and Priscilla Honbarger Bradshaw. He was predeceased by a brother, Dennis Bradshaw of Augusta, Ga. He graduated from South Rowan High School in 1970 and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Jay is survived by his daughter, April Bradshaw Harris of Mooresville; two sons, Bryon Bradshaw of Kannapolis and Steven Jay (Brad) Herbert of Charlotte; a granddaughter, Chloe of Mooresville; a brother, Tom Bradshaw of Charleston, S.C.; three sisters, Penny Shotwell of Horseshoe, Susan Owen of Salisbury and Patty Carter of Asheville; a half-brother, Ryan James Burgess of Ellwood City, Pa.; stepmother Anne Palmer Bradshaw of Brevard; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend Susan Nabors.
Service: Graveside services will be at the Salisbury National Cemetery Annex at 1 p.m. Friday, March 27.
Memorials: May be made in Jay's honor to American Cancer Society.
