Tuesday, November 23, 2010 — Doris Louise Lambert, age 80, of Albemarle, passed away on November 21, 2010 at Britthaven of the Piedmont.
She was born in Stanly County on February 17, 1930 to the late Claude and Cora Andrews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Robert Lambert; her brother, Gerald Andrews; and her sister, Betty Thompson.
Mrs. Lambert is survived by her son, William Paul Furr (After the death of her sister, Clara, Doris and Robert raised her nephew, William Paul Furr.) and wife Patricia of Rockwell, N.C.; and her brother, Richard Andrews of China Grove, N.C.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 23 from 6-8 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. Services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 24 at Lakeview Baptist Church with Rev. Tab Whitley officiating. The body will lie in state for 30 minutes before the service. Burial will follow at Stanly Gardens of Memory.
Memorials may be made to Lakeview Baptist Church, 32496 Pennington Road, Albemarle, NC.
