Robert Lee Sides, Sr., 63 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2013 at his home.
Robert was born April 24, 1950 in Mecklenburg County to the late Raymond T. Sides and Ethel Louise Sides of Cornelius, NC.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle. The funeral service officiated by Rev. Delane Burris will be at 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 2, 2014 in Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel in Albemarle. Burial will follow at the Stanly Gardens of Memory, 2001 East Main St., Albemarle, NC, with full military honors.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 41 years, Linda Sides of Albemarle; son, Robert Lee "Burt" Sides, Jr and wife, Amie Sides of Albemarle; daughter, Michelle Sides Russell and husband, Tony of Richfield and brother, John Sides and wife, Becky of Harrisburg; grandchildren, Jessica Sides, Kevin Hunsucker, Kyle Hunsucker, Robert Sides, III and Miranda Russell.
