Bessie Cranford Stamper, 90 years of age, of Albemarle, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 12, 2016 at Bethany Woods Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Albemarle.
Mrs. Stamper was born June 13, 1926 in Stanly County to the late Cicero Amos Cranford and the late Jennie Lee Cranford. She was also preceded in death by her husband in 1998, Everette Alvis "Buck" Stamper; a grandson, Jeff Herlocker; a great granddaughter, Alison Russell; a twin sister, Essie Stamper along with three other sisters and two brothers
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM , Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel in Albemarle officiated by Rev. Delane Burris. Burial will follow at the Stanly Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Albemarle.
Survivors include daughters, Edith (Fred) Anderson of Kernersville, Jeanette (Jimmy) Russell, Barbara (Terry) Herlocker and Lynn (Sherrell) Hatley all of New London; seven grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren.
