On December 9, 2021, Sylvia Diane Hill Thompson, 74, of Albemarle, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family.
A celebration of Sylvia’s life will be held at 12:00PM, Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Norwood. Rev. Will Green will officiate. The family will receive friends from 11:00AM to 11:45AM, prior to the service at Edwards Funeral Home.
Sylvia was preceded in death by husband, Donald M. Thompson; parents J. D. and Bessie Whitley Hill; her mother in law, Helen Cardwell Burris.
Sylvia is remembered lovingly by her children, son, Todd Thompson, Sr. (Amanda) of Albemarle; daughter, Tonya Guyton-Thompson(Gigi) of Peaks Island, Maine; grandchildren, Alex Thompson of Richmond, VA, Erin Thompson of Durham and Brooklyn Guyton-Thompson of Peaks Island, Maine; brother, Robert “Bobby” Hill(Judy) of Albemarle; sister in law, Margaret Hinson(David) of Albemarle; father in law, Ted Burris; many nieces, a nephew, numerous cousins and extended relatives and friends near far.
