Catherine Holt Misenheimer

ALBEMARLE - Catherine Holt Misenheimer, 89, of Albemarle, formerly of Rockwell, passed away Monday, December 24, 2007, at Stanly Regional Medical Center. 

Mrs. Misenheimer was born Sept. 24, 1918, in Stanly County, the daughter of the late Enos Holt and Cummie Barringer Holt. She attended Stanly County schools and had worked for Wiscassett Mills in Albemarle and Archie's BBQ. She was a member of Grace Lower Stone Church, Rockwell, and was an avid quilter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Clyde Thomas Isenhour, in 1985, her second husband, Harold Misenheimer, in May 2006, and by brothers and sisters Eugene, Coleman, Herman, Jay, Ray, Opal, Margie, Gladys and Mary Ruth. 

Survivors include daughters Rebecca "Sue" Huneycutt of New London, Margaret F. Grant of Chester, S.C.; step-sons Tony Misenheimer of Rockwell, Steve Misenheimer of Salisbury; brothers William "Buck" Holt and Clyde Holt of Gold Hill, Harvey Holt of Raleigh; sisters Bertha Crowell of Gold Hill, Rachel Almond of New London and Onnie Beeker of Concord. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation: 2-3 p.m. Wednesday at Powles Funeral Home, Rockwell.

Funeral Services: 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Powles Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Paul L. Pickler, Pastor of Smithwood United Church of Christ, Liberty. Burial will follow at Brookhill Memorial Gardens, Rockwell. 

Memorials: Memorials may be made to Grace Lower Stone Church, Rockwell, NC.
