Brenda Kaye Honeycutt, 67, of Salisbury, passed away on Saturday December 21, 2013 at her residence surrounded by family. Mrs. Honeycutt was born on February 15, 1946 in Rowan County to the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold Jerome Trexler and Ruth Mauney Trexler.
Brenda was educated in the Rowan County School System and attended West Side Baptist Church. She loved to travel with her family and enjoyed camping in the mountains. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Mary Ruth Williams.
She is survived by her husband of 53 yrs, Tony Brant Honeycutt; a son, Randle Brant Honeycutt and wife Cindy of Salisbury; daughters, Janet Kaye Billings and husband Danny of Salisbury, Karen Honeycutt Pratt of Salisbury, and Tonya Honeycutt Harvey and husband Dean of Salisbury; a brother, John William Trexler and wife Francis of Salisbury; grandchildren, Petey Honeycutt and wife Brook, Savanna Honeycutt, Joey Billings and wife Jenn, Jessica Billings, Dalton Pratt, Ethan Pratt, Patrick Sigmon, and Ricky Rimer; and great grandchildren, Bryson Honeycutt, Riley Honeycutt, Trent Wise, Jaden Rimer, Corey Rimer, Trinity Massey, Brooklyn Billings, Jason Billings, and Tyler Dickson.
A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2013 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at the VFW Post 3006. The family will be at the home of Tony Honeycutt the remainder of the time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carolina Cremation.
Carolina Cremation is assisting the Honeycutt family.
