Priscilla Lane Kinley Barbee (Patty), age 66, of Bethel Church Road, Locust, N.C., passed away at 1:10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at the home of her daughter in Florida. Born in Concord on October 24, 1943, she was the daughter of Dora Eudy Tucker, and the late Marvin Kinley.
Ms. Barbee was preceded in death by her brother, Steven Kinley, her daughter, Rhonda Lynn Barbee, grandson, Steven Chandler Bright, stepfather, James A. Tucker and stepbrother, Cecil Tucker. She was formerly employed at Locust Pump and Well Drilling and Avdel Cherry Textron.
She is survived by her daughters, Rita Lorraine Griggs of Locust and Robin Luann Barbee of Gulfport, Florida; granddaughter, Jordan Bright; brothers, Gary J. Kinley and wife, Brenda of Stanfield and children, Tammy, Todd, Tina and Trisha, Tony L. Kinley and daughters, Lisa and LeAnn, Ronald M. Kinley and wife, Marion and sons, Jimmy and Stephan; and stepsister Jenelle Carroll of Concord and sons, Dale and Bobby.
The family wishes to express deep appreciation to Kim Finigan, her special caretaker from Gulfport, Florida, and special friends Linda and Red Huneycutt of Locust.
There will be a memorial service held on Saturday, July 9th at Locust Baptist Church at 2 p.m. with pastor Kenny Wallace officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the Locust Baptist Fellowship Hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the local ASPCA or Suncoast Hospice, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, Florida.
