Elsie Mae Page Blackwelder, 80, of Hwy. 73, Albemarle, passed away Jan. 25, 2010, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast in Concord.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, at Hartsell Funeral Home-Albemarle.
A graveside service will take place at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, at Herrins Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Daniel McClamrock officiating.
Born in Stanly County on March 31, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Hardy Washington and Iredell Moyle Page. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Whitney Blackwelder in 1986.
She retired as a weaver from Cannon Mills with 42 years of service.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Mauldin of Mt. Pleasant; her sons, Harold Page and wife Sue of Norwood, and Charles Wayne Page and wife Brenda of Albemarle; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and three sisters.
