Thursday, July 6, 2006 — Luke Edward “Ed” Stiller Jr., 61, of Raeford, formerly of Albemarle, died at 4:55 p.m. Friday, June 30, 2006, in FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
His funeral was at graveside at 4 p.m. Wednesday in Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Otis Goins officiated.
Born Aug. 20, 1944, in Stanly County, he was a son of the late Luke Edward and Frances Forrest Stiller and was a self-employed carpenter. He enjoyed fishing, vegetable gardening and canning. He was a member of First Baptist Church, New London.
He is survived by two sons, Richard Stiller of Jacksonville, Fla., and Wesley Stiller of Kannapolis, a brother, Henry Lee Stiller of Texas, and a grandson, Joshua Richard Stiller.
