Horace Manning Greene
Horace Manning Greene, 82, of Hickory, passed away, Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Catawba Regional Hospice.
Born June 13, 1935 in Boiling Springs, NC, he was the son of the late Horace Cade Greene and Minnie Lester Greene.
Mr. Greene had attended NC State University and was the retired owner of "The Company" Motorcycle Shop in Hickory. He was a Life member of the AMA (American Motorcycles Association) and traveled all over the world riding motorcycles.
He is survived by his son, Joseph Solon Greene of Taylorsville, NC; daughter, Elizabeth "Ella" Greene Thompson and husband John of Hickory, NC; two brothers: Richard Greene and wife Linda and Willard Greene, all of Boiling Springs, NC; sister, Alice Greene Blackwell of Shelby, NC; a grandson, Graham Manning Thompson and wife Brandy of Hickory, NC; and great-grandchildren: Mason, Hunter and Dayton.
The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon, January 28, 2017 from 3 - 5:00 p.m. at Bass-Smith Funeral Home in Hickory.
