ALBEMARLE - Norma Coley Brewer, 68, 16354 Recap Road, died Friday (Oct. 1, 1999) at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte.
Born July 1, 1931, in Stanly County, Mrs. Brewer was a daughter of the late Daisy Ophelia Burris and Joe Lee Coley. She had retired from Stanly Knitting Mills, where she was an inspector. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Her first husband, Flay T. Efird, preceded her in death.
Survivors include husband Glenn William Brewer, Albemarle; daughters Stacy Lynn Brewer, Charlotte, and Tammy Shackelford, Stanfield; sisters Joann Harward, Charlotte, and Renda Huneycutt, Albemarle; brother James Russell, Peachland; and four grandchildren.
Services: Graveside, 4 p.m. Sunday, Silver Springs Baptist Church cemetery, Norwood, conducted by the Rev. Furman Wilhoit.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. tonight, Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle.
