Claudine Deal Artz

Claudine Deal Artz, age 85 of Rockwell, NC passed away Sunday February 14, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Georgia Harrington Deal and Ray Deal of Kannapolis, NC.

Claudine was a life long member of Bethel Baptist Church of Rockwell where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. She was a voracious reader who loved to learn, study and write. Her bright blue eyes, beautiful smile, warm heart and praying spirit will be forever missed.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Banks Artz Jr..

She was a beautiful soul who left an indelible mark on the three people who loved her most, her children Charles E. Artz and wife Patty of Salisbury, Regina Everhart and husband Vernon of Rockwell, Karen Artz and husband Jerry of Charlotte, NC. She leaves behind her grandchildren Michelle Artz, Jill Everhart, Matthew Everhart, Eugene Everhart, Michael Artz, Daniel Artz, Corinne Turner, Gerren Maschke; great grandchildren, Neal, Claire, and Joseph Johnson, Laila Maschke, Elijah, Chase and a special great granddaughter Desiree Artz. She has two surviving siblings Barbara Chesson and husband Buddy of Lexington, NC and Glenn Deal and wife Peg of Rockwell, NC.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 18 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at Bethel Baptist Church in Rockwell.

There will be a Memorial Service on Thursday, February 18 at 2:00 pm at Bethel Baptist Church conducted by Pastor John Houghton.

We would like to thank the staff of Trinity Oaks for their loving care for her over the last year. In addition, we want to express our gratitude to Edith Cauble, her best friend, and husband Gene for her deep abiding love, joy and friendship.

She is now celebrating with all the friends and family who were at the gate to meet her, Charles, Aunt Mary, Martha, Gary, and Marvin.
