Virginia Ludwig Morgan

Virginia Ludwig Morgan, of Salisbury, NC died Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Carolinas Medical Center-Northeast, Concord, NC.

Born January 22, 1920, Mrs. Morgan had been in declining health for a couple of years. She was the daughter of the late James A. and Paulina Brady Ludwig of Salisbury, NC. A lifetime member of St. Peters Lutheran, she was a member of the Golden Age Sunday School Class, a Life Member of the WELCA and a member of the Seasoned Saints Club.

Educated in the Rowan County Schools, she was a very avid cook and homemaker. She enjoyed entering her yeast rolls, cakes and candies in Rowan County and State Fairs, where she won numerous ribbons. She also loved doing lots of stitchery and quilting.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Hubert D. Morgan who died February 26, 1999, a son, Bobby Wayne Morgan, who died August 28, 1995 and a great granddaughter, Olivia Morgan Najarian, who died August 29, 2008.

Survivors included two daughters, Carolyn Rippy and Dottie Fraley of Salisbury, NC. Three grandchildren, Darren Rippy, Dena Najarian (David) and Stacy Fraley (Brandy). Seven great grandchildren, Nicole and Jacob Rippy, Joseph Najarian, Wesley, Macallister, Koltt and Eli Fraley. Two sisters, Nevada Rabon of Salisbury and Pauline Horton of China Grove.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 13, 2012, with the service following at 2:00PM at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Salisbury, NC. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. The family will be at the residence the remainder of the time.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Peters Lutheran Church.
