CHINA GROVE - Pauline Ludwig Horton, 97, of China Grove, passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at Genesis Health Care in Salisbury.
Mrs. Horton was born Oct. 17, 1914, in Rowan County, daughter of the late James A. Ludwig and Pauline Brady Ludwig. Educated in Rowan County Schools, Mrs. Horton was employed at Cannon Mills. She was a Charter Member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, where she was a past Choir member, Sunday School teacher and was a Life Member of Lutheran Church Women.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Harry Horton; son Harry Nelson Horton; two brothers; and three sisters.
Mrs. Horton is survived by her son, Larry Horton of Salisbury; sister Nevada Rabon of Salisbury; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Service: The funeral will be on Friday, March 16 at 11 a.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, conducted by Rev. Ray Sipe. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
Visitation: The family will receive friends at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church Friday, March 16 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.
Memorials: May be made to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
