Gary Steve Eudy, 69 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2016 at his home.
Gary was born September 7, 1946 in Stanly County to the late Marvin Albert Eudy and the late Rona Burris Eudy.
He was also preceded in death by sister, Lottie Mae Mellon, brothers, Keith, Tony, and Tim Eudy; and grandson, Douglas Ray Farmer.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, Monday, February 8, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 am at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel, officiated by Rev. Ron Honeycutt. Military honors will be conducted by Stanly County DAV, chapter 12. At other times, the family will be gathering at his home.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Mildred Belinda Blackwelder Eudy of the home; sons, Gary Eudy, Jr. and wife Eddy of Asheville, AL, Terry Eudy and wife Denise of Mt. Holly, Steve Eudy and wife Amanda of Millingport, daughters, Amy Ross and husband Tim of Archdale, Yvonne Furr and husband Gary of Albemarle, brothers, Mike Eudy and wife Pat of Albemarle, David Eudy and wife Casina of Albemarle; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Gary honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a retired truck driver and mechanic. He enjoyed spending time gardening and fishing.
