Frances Carter Fraley

Mrs. Frances Carter Fraley, 90 of Faith, NC passed away on February 2, 2016 at the Lutheran Home at Trinity Oaks.

Mrs. Fraley was born to March 21, 1925 in Durham, NC, daughter of the late Thomas L. Carter and Veta Rigsby Carter.

Mrs. Fraley was a graduate of Boyden High School and had also attended Catawba College. She retired from Carolina Maid as a Bookkeeper. She was a member of Shiloh Reformed Church where she was a former choir member. She enjoyed singing and being with family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Thurmond M. Upright, her second husband Joe Peeler Fraley, son, Steven Upright, brother, Thomas Lee Carter, sisters, Elwanda Williams and Alice Mae Poplin.

She is survived by sons Thurmond M. "Mitch" Upright and wife Chandra of Faith and Timothy Joe Fraley of Faith, 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Shiloh Reformed Church of Faith, Thursday, February 4th from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.

There will be a graveside service on Thursday, February 4th at 11:00 AM at Shiloh Reformed Church of Faith Cemetery, conducted by Rev. Richard Myers, pastor.

Memorials may be made to Shiloh Reformed Church, Faith, NC.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Lutheran Home at Trinity Oaks and Rowan Hospice and Palliative Care.
