Betty Delores “Dee” Waisner Thompson, 80, of Norwood passed away Monday evening, January 25, 2016 at Bethany Woods.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM, Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Norwood First Baptist Church, Norwood. Rev. Otis Goins, Rev. Nathan Fox and Rev. Gary Waisner will officiate and burial will follow in Norview Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Friday evening, January 29, 2016 at Edwards Funeral Home in Norwood.
Mrs. Thompson was born September 3, 1935 in Stanly County to the late Robert Edward and Tina Bunting Waisner. She was a member of Norwood First Baptist Church and Owner/Operator of Tiny Tots Daycare. Dee was well loved by the many babies she had at her Daycare.
She is survived by her loving husband of the home, Phillip “Phil” Thomspon; daughters, Melinda Kimrey and husband, Al of Fernadina Beach, FL and Joy Page and husband, Barry of Norwood; grandchildren, Morgan Page, Mika Parrish and husband, Jon, Philip Kimrey and wife, Ancha and Lee Kimrey; brother, Rev. Gary Waisner of Ramsuer.
