DENTON -- Jack Tunney Howard, 75, 1539 Mose Glover Road, died Friday (Feb. 14, 2003), at Thomasville Medical Center.

Born Feb. 24, 1927, in Badin, he was the son of the late Jessie Lester and Mary Lillie Burleson Howard. A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he was a fixer at Klopman Mills.

He was a member of Denton Church of God.

Survivors include wife Minnie Ramelle Fraley Howard, Denton; sons Jackie Laverne Howard, Albemarle, and the Rev. Jesse Cicero Howard, Thomasville; daughters Beckey Burkette, Indiana, and Mary Catherine Lowder and Brenda Carol Whitt, both of Denton; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services: 2 p.m. Monday, Denton Church of God, conducted by the Revs. Jesse Howard, pastor, and James Cooper. Burial, Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, Richfield. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m.
