Magdalene Whitley Burris
Magdalene Whitley Burris, 80, loved by her family and all who knew her, was reunited with her loved ones on Friday, May 27, 2011.
Born November 12, 1930 in Stanley County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Jarvis Jenkins and Flora Honeycutt Whitley.
She was retired from Michelin North America Inc. and was a former employee with Stone Mfg. Company. She was a Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star (Sam Poe Lodge).
Mrs. Burris was a member of White Oak Baptist Church.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ray William Burris; a daughter, Diann B. Carter and a sister, Becky.
Surviving are her son, W. Lynn Burris of Mauldin, SC; three sisters: Maxine of FL, Lorene and Julia, both of NC; four grandchildren: Dana Jones (Brent), John Carter, Ryan Burris (Jessica), and Austin Carter (Rosailin); and nine great-grandchildren: Kelsey, Bennett, Lance, Hunter, Nathan, Shane, Katelyn, Nolan and Ethan.
Graveside services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, May 29, 2011 in Woodlawn Memorial Park with Rv. Jimmy Robinson officiating. The family will visit with friends following the service at the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to White Oak Baptist Church, 1805 Wade Hampton Blvd., Greenville, SC 29609

Magdalene Whitley Burris, 80, loved by her family and all who knew her, was reunited with her loved ones on Friday, May 27, 2011.
