Alma Lee Honbarger
Alma Lee Hampton Honbarger, 69, of Mooresville, died Saturday, June 19, 2004 at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center. Born April 14, 1935 in Cabarrus County, to the late David Lee and Sarah Jones Hampton, Mrs. Honbarger was a homemaker. She had worked in Mooresville at The Tasty Freeze and New Method Cleaners and also for Cannon Mills in Kannapolis.
Mrs. Honbarger was married for 50 years to Raymond Council Honbarger, who survives. Other survivors include her sons, Garry Honbarger of Mooresville and Darrell [Ray] Honbarger of Hiddenite; sister, Mildred Smitchko of Mooresville; brother, James Hampton of Mooresville; and two grandchildren, Ashton Honbarger and Raylen Honbarger.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 25 after 2 p.m. at the home of Raymond Honbarger on Mazeppa Road.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to American Kidney Fund, Rockville, MD.
