Jessie Wyatt Kluttz

Jessie Wyatt Kluttz, 77, formerly of Wiley Avenue, died Sunday (Aug. 4, 2002) at Genesis Eldercare of Salisbury. She was in declining health for 11 years and seriously ill for two weeks.

Born Sept. 6, 1924, in Salisbury, Mrs. Kluttz was a daughter of the late Curtis Baxter and Ruth Beaver Wyatt. Educated in the Salisbury city schools, she graduated from Boyden High School.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She was a former member of Harold B. Jarrett American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

Her husband, Alvin Clifton Kluttz, died May 26, 1985; son Gary Edward Lovette died Dec. 24, 1992; and son Terry Ray Lovette died July 24, 2002.

Survivors include sons Thomas Cecil "Kit" Kesler, Granite Quarry, and James Alan Kesler, Salisbury; daughter Anita L. Rinehart, Salisbury; brother Ray Alton Wyatt, Winston-Salem; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services: 2 p.m., Wednesday, Summersett Funeral Home chapel, conducted by the Rev. John B. Tucker, associate pastor, and the Rev Jennifer Ginn, associate pastor, St. John's Lutheran Church. Burial, Chestnut Hill Cemetery.

Visitation: 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials: Alzheimers Association, Piedmont Chapter.
