Linda Eudy York, 72 of Albemarle passed away Saturday, November 7, 2015 in CMC Northeast, Concord. Her memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie Hudson officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening at Stanly Funeral Home from 6 until 8 PM.
Born June 16, 1943 in Stanly County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Sherman Eudy and Ida Mae Burleson Eudy. She was the owner and operator of Linda’s Daycare in Albemarle. Mrs. York attended Apache Church in Myrtle Beach, SC. She and her husband enjoyed spending time at the beach and she loved her grandchildren more than anything.
Mrs. York is survived by her husband Kenneth Harris York of the home. Other survivors include daughter Alisha York Palmer and husband Shane of Davidson, grandchildren Kenya and Allison Palmer, paternal grandmother Elizabeth Eudy of Albemarle, goddaughter Gigi Williams of Concord, sister-in-law Kay Howard, niece Starla Whitley, and great nephew Cade Whitley. Her loving daughter Lisha Dawn Hudson preceded her in death in 1970.
Her legacy will live on in the lives of the hundreds of children she has cared for over the past 40 years.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be sent to Stanly Funeral Home.
