Ruth Hinson
Ruth Eudy Hinson, 94, of Norwood, passed away early Thursday morning, October 29, 2015 at Stanly Manor. Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM, Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Rickey Brown will officiate and interment will follow in Harward’s Chapel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Edwards Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hinson was born July 12, 1921 in Stanly County to the late Luther Eudy and Anliza Carpenter Eudy. She was a retiree of Collins & Aikman Corporation and a member of Norwood First Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Hinson Sr.; brother, Herbert Eudy, sisters, Florence Austin, Elsie Brock and Lucille Williamson.
She is survived by her sons, Frank Hinson, Jr. and wife, Matilda of Matthews; Gary Hinson and wife, Robin of Norwood and Michael Hinson and wife, Sharon of Garner; daughters, Barbara Mabry and husband, Elwood of New London and Diann Honeycutt of Norwood; one brother, June Eudy and wife Nellie of Norwood; 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
