Sarah Dick Cole
Sarah Dick Cole, 76, of New London, NC, passed away Monday April 16, 2018 in Hospice of Union County, Monroe, NC. Her graveside service will be 11 AM Thursday April 19, 2018 at Dunns Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jeremy Holt and Rev. Les Lanier officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6 PM until 8 PM at Stanly Funeral & Cremation of Albemarle.
Sarah was born November 10, 1941 in Stanly County, NC, and was the daughter of the late Otis Frank Dick and Cornelia Hinson Dick. Mrs. Cole was a graduate of Badin High School and a retired seamstress with Stanly Apparel. She formerly attended Dunns Grove Baptist Church. Sarah loved her grandchildren.
Mrs. Cole was preceded in death by her husband Walter Stancil Cole, Jr. in 2003. She is survived by a son Darren Cole (Melissa) of Albemarle, NC; stepdaughter Sue Jende (Rob) of Ontario, Canada; two sisters Cynthia Kessel and Carol Caviness both of Albemarle, NC; grandchildren Taylor Cole, Shane Cole and Jacob Cole all of Albemarle, NC, Will Cole of White Lake, NC, Kaleb Whitley and Khloe Whitley both of Albemarle, NC, JD Whitley and Blake Whitley both of New London, NC and Cole Jende of Ontario, Canada. Sarah was also preceded in death by a son Tracy Stancil Cole, grandson Kyle Austin Cole, a brother Otis Dick and a sister Mildred Dick.
